1. Visit http://tfolegolas.guildlaunch.com/

    1. Register as a member to the website.  See top right where it says “Register”, or,

    2. Look on the left side bar where it says “Apply to Kinship”.

    3. After completing the registration or application, wait for a site administrator to approve your application.

  2. Claim your alts.  (Note character data has not been updated since the HD release in Novemeber 2013, Turbine has discontinued the tool that updates our kinship roster)

    1. Once you have received a notice that your application has been approved, re-log in and go to the tab that says “Kinship Roster” and claim your alts.

    2. Dont forget to claim your new alts as you add them.

  3. Upload your screen shots.  Save a screen shot in game, by pressing the print screen button or F11 button on your keyboard.

    1. Find your screen shots on your local hard drive, under documents, under a file folder called “The Lord of The Rings Online”.

    2. Log in to the website.

    3. Go to the Gallery Tab, the click on the Galleries sub tab, then select a gallery to upload to, then use the web tools to upload and title your screen shots.

  4. Upload other files to the File Library.

    1. Log in to the website.

    2. Go to the Gallery Tab, the click on the File Library sub tab, then use the web tools to upload your files. 

    3. Please limit content to game related material.

  5. Send messages to other registered members. This tool is useful for players who have internet access but do not have access to the computer the game is installed on.

    1. Log in to the website.  Hover over your screen name on the top right.  Click on private messages.  Click on communications sub tab. Or,

    2. Click on Messages Tab on horizontal link bar at the top of the page.  *New*

    3. Use online tools to view your inbox or send messages.

    4. Messages can be forwarded, unlike the in-game mail.

    5. Outgoing messages are saved, unlike the in-game mail.

    6. There is a visual alert when you have a new private message, the icon next to your screen name at the top right will turn orange (normally white) when you have new messages.

    7. You can create groups under PM settings.

  6. Shout Box.

    1. Log in to the website. You must be logged in for this feature to be visible.

    2. Near the bottom of the home screen you will see the shout box tool.  See and leave shouts here.

  7. Create your own character blogs.

    1. Log in to the website.

    2. Hover over your screen name at the top right.

    3. View your profile.

    4. Click on the characters sub-tab.

    5. Click on one of your alt names.

    6. Click on the sub-link for blog

    7. Enter a Blog Title and click Activate Blog.

    8. The 5 latest blog posts can be seen on the forums page and on the right side of the home page

  8. Forums

    1. Log in to the website.

    2. Go to the Forums tab.

    3. Some forums are visible only to registered members.

    4. Got an idea for a forum topic? Let us know in the suggestion box located on the home screen.

  9. See who’s online on the website.

    1. Log in to the website.

    1. Look for the widget on the home screen left sidebar.

    2. You will see icons for players who are currently logged in on the website.

    3. Hover over the icon and you will see that person’s screen name.

  10. Chat

    1. Log in to the website.

    2. Use the see who's online tool to see who's on. If anyone else is there...

    3. Go to the chat tab and use the online feature.

    4. Please note if you click off or leave this page, when you come back, the chat window will be cleared of previous chats.

    4. Voice server tools are currently not active but are available at an additional cost.  Please contact the website administrator or the kin leader if you are interested in enabling these tools.  A minimum of 5 registered users must request this feature to become eligible for additional upgrade.
